AI Tools for School Counselors and Support Teams

(RLC) is proud to offer a forward-thinking professional learning experience designed for school counselors, child study teams, student support personnel, and building leaders. AI Tools for School Counselors & Student Support Teams provides a safe, ethical, and highly practical introduction to how artificial intelligence can enhance—never replace—the human-centered work of supporting students.

Grounded in our partnership with the Bureau of Education and Research, this training helps educators use AI responsibly to streamline administrative tasks, strengthen communication, and increase capacity for meaningful student connection. Participants learn to integrate AI in ways that reduce burnout, support restorative responses, and expand their ability to deliver timely, personalized support.

During the session, RLC guides counselors through real-world applications such as creating counseling resources, drafting parent communication, designing SEL and advisory lessons, supporting crisis documentation, preparing student support plans, and organizing data for proactive interventions. Attendees explore case studies, experiment with prompts, and receive ready-to-use templates to bring directly into their daily work.

The training places strong emphasis on ethics, confidentiality, and district-aligned safeguards, ensuring AI becomes a tool for efficiency, creativity, and clarity—never a substitute for professional expertise or relationships.

By the end of the session, counselors and support teams walk away with actionable AI strategies that make their work more sustainable, freeing valuable time for what matters most: direct care, connection, and restorative relationship-building with students and families.
